The book collects the outcomes of the research Multi-Ramblas produced by Intelligent Coast Group for the DHUB – Design Hub of Barcelona, Institute of Culture of the City of Barcelona, Spain. The research aimed at rethinking the role of Las Ramblas in Barcelona as a tourist trademark. Through the book, Las Ramblas emerge as a vast public space, a crossroads of events and interests that are both local and global, spatial articulation of the relation between city and sea, but also the meeting point of many socio-economic networks of the contemporary city.
