Description
The book addresses the ability of architecture to articulate, through the facade element, the interaction between a building and the environment in which this is located. The publication, therefore, intends to bring the facade element back into the urban realm, shifting the sense of built architecture from that of an object to that of the subject of the city. Not only but also, it intends to recall how such a shift requires recognizing how the architecture cannot represent, signify or symbolize something other than itself.
