The book addresses the theoretical and planning question related to a new way of thinking about the relationship between cities and natural systems. In particular, the publication presents the results of planning and design experiments in the Trentino Alto Adige region, Italy, carried out by TALL – Trentino AltoAdige Landscape design Lab, University of Trento. Against the backdrop of the Alpine landscape, the narrative of the book intertwines urban centers, public spaces, natural contexts, infrastructures, and architecture, ending with an international atlas of relevant projects.
