Description
Contemporary cities are organisms characterized by changing places and communities, passing data and information, continuous actions and reactions between people and the environment. Therefore, they should be responsive to our behavioral changes. If they really do, we may be able to build a more efficient urban environment. So, in the post-urban era and well beyond the Smart City, the book aims at dealing with the Augmented City, i.e., an emerging urban paradigm that seeks to respond to the needs of a more interconnected society, based on knowledge and creativity, inevitably confronted with the problem of urban sustainability.
